“Due to my ill health, my husband always pitches in for doing the household activities and for parenting. I was guilt-tripped and traumatized by my family and relatives. Today, this gender sensitisation session has reassured me that my husband and I share a very healthy relationship and that we are on the right track.
On April 1, 2023, a Gender Sensitisation and legal awareness program was organized for Doctors, Nurses and community healthcare professionals by the AM Foundation in association with The Penn Collective in Manali, Chennai.
The participants were sensitized on how the gender gap impacts women's access to healthcare, and the way forward through activities, lectures, and discussions. They were also oriented on the laws and schemes available for women and healthcare professionals.
