Ms. Poorani represented India at the South Asia Young Women's Empowerment Academy — a three-day intensive workshop from 16–18 September 2025 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Organised by International IDEA, UN Women Sri Lanka, and iKNOW Politics — supported by the European Union — the academy built skills through technical, interactive, and peer-learning modules.
On Day 3, Poorani served as a lead discussant on "Access to Political Resources for Women" and shared The Penn Collective's upcoming Thaenkoodu initiative with South Asian peers.
